Jinxed and Stabbed

Bluescreen

The bluescreen consisted of 4 wooden boards of 6m2, 2 length of material of each 6m2 and we use also a blue sheet of 9m2 to hide the mattress. Totally the bluescreen has approximately 45m2, nothing compared to Hollywood production, but it is the biggest Bluescreen in our region. The wooden board were painted with 2 Layer of white colour and to layer of blue colour. The painting was done by Fabienne in manual work.

First we place a lots of carpet on the ground, so the footstep of the actors can be diminished. In the second step we arange some paletts to the wall. Then the ground plate are placed at the right position and we lift the wall plates against the paletts.  This is the most energy consuming part thin each plate weights around 60kg.

After this the ceiling bluescreen of cotton is pinched behind the wall plates and the cap between the two wall place is also covered with bluescreen cotton. After replacing once again the groundplate as near as possible to the wall plates, we also cover the gap between the groundplates with a piece of bluescreen drapery. Since only one person can do this the other person can start to mount all lamps.

Two lamps are placed on the side of the bluescreen to light the actors from the back. This diminue the spill effect. The other lamps are placed in the front of the bluescreen and we adjust them to have as less as possible shadow on the bluescreen. Two HDMI-Lamps are lightening the bluescreen to get a “bluer” colour.  All the other lamp are normal headlights we bought in a do-it-yourself store and there fore we always have to check if the light bulb is still working proberly (during the shooting we killed around 15 light bulb).

At the end we check if the cables are place correctly and all lamps are well distribute on the different connectors, to avoid a blow fuse. Now everything is ready for shooting. You can watch a time-lapse movie of the bluescreen-building in the making of movie: Vo Hingge Fürre 3
